The Chairman of Kursi Investment Limited, Abdulfatai Seriki, has empowered residents across Kwara State with free sewing machines, motor vehicles, and solar power installations during a ceremony held in Ilorin.

The empowerment drive, organized under the auspices of the Yahaya Seriki Empowerment and Enterprise Colloquium 2026, took place on Friday at the Arca Santa Arena in the state capital.

Held under the theme "Beyond Empowerment: Building Enterprises, Creating Wealth, Transforming Lives," the event drew beneficiaries from all 16 local government areas of the state, including youth groups, women associations, and local artisans.

Representatives of the foundation stated that the initiative was designed to transition from short-term financial relief to establishing sustainable commercial enterprises for Kwara residents, with a primary focus on women and young entrepreneurs.

The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Saliu Mustapha, commended Seriki for his investment in youth development and enterprise building across the state.

"This is certainly not his first intervention of this magnitude, and I sincerely hope and pray that it will not be his last," Senator Mustapha stated.

"For me, this is particularly heartwarming because it reflects a philosophy of service that I have consistently believed in and practised over the years, first through the Saliu Mustapha Foundation and now under the auspices of my office as the Senator representing the Kwara Central Senatorial District," he added.

The Yahaya Seriki Foundation had previously empowered over 1,800 Kwara residents in 2023 with business grants, operational tools, and vocational skills training valued at over N250 million.

Organizers noted that applications for the 2026 empowerment scheme were processed through the foundation's official digital portal, with selection based on verified financial need and operational readiness to initiate or expand a business enterprise.
