Olododo Emerges APC Candidate for Ilorin East/Ilorin South, Pledges Purposeful Representation
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ilorin East/Ilorin South Federal Constituency in 2027, Engr. Abdulquawiy Olododo, has appreciated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, party leaders, stakeholders and supporters for their contributions to his emergence as the party's standard-bearer.
In a statement circulated on Wednesday in Ilorin, Olododo described his victory at the APC primaries as a collective medal for the party and the people of his constituency, noting that it reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the constituency's representation at the National Assembly.
He said that his ambition was rooted in a desire to provide purposeful, experienced and youth-driven representation that would advance the interests of the constituency, rather than personal gain.
Olododo, who acknowledged the keenly contested primary election, said he was humbled by the confidence reposed in him by party members and pledged not to betray the trust placed in him.
He commended Governor AbdulRazaq, whom he described as leader and mentor, noting specially, his commitment to good governance and deliberate efforts to nurture new generation of leaders in Kwara State.
According to him, "Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq's leadership, vision and selfless service have continued to inspire many young politicians and professionals across the state."
The APC candidate also commended other aspirants for conducting themselves with maturity, civility and sportsmanship throughout the exercise, stating that there was no winner or loser within the APC family.
He pledged to work closely with the co-aspirants, party leaders, elders, women, youths and other stakeholders to strengthen the party and secure victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections.
Olododo further thanked party faithful across the constituency for their unwavering support and confidence, assuring them that he would provide responsive, people-centred and impactful representation if elected.
Calling for unity ahead of the polls, he urged all APC members to close ranks and work towards the shared goal of consolidating the party's achievements while promoting inclusive development across Ilorin East and Ilorin South Federal Constituency.
He expressed confidence that with unity, hard work and God's guidance, the APC would record a resounding victory in the 2027 general elections.
