My Victory A Call To Greater Service - Governor Ahmed
The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed has described as a call to greater service the Supreme Court judgment which yesterday reaffirmed his 2011 election as the duly elected governor of the State.
Governor Ahmed noted that the judgment has affirmed, beyond any doubt, that the 2011 elections in Kwara State reflected the popular will and aspirations of the good people of the State.
Dedicating his victory to Allah and the good people of Kwara, Governor Ahmed commended Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki and the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at all levels in the State for their steadfast support before and during the litigation.
He expressed the expectation that his administration will continue to enjoy the solidarity and cooperation of the highly loving people of the State of Harmony in the current stride to make the State number one Agriculture destination in the Country.
Governor Ahmed, who affirmed that his administration was not in any way distracted by the litigation from the onerous task of consolidating the solid foundation the PDP government has laid in the state since 2003, however assured the people that the drive to consolidate the achievements of the last eight years will be accentuated.
The Governor urged the opposition in the state, having exhausted the judicial option, to join his administration in the renewed efforts to evolve an agro-driven economy for the State.
Governor Ahmed also called on Kwarans at home and abroad to join the moving train of the PDP administration premised on shared prosperity.
