Elerin of Erin-Ile Hails Governor AbdulRazaq for Masses-Oriented Projects
The Elerin of Erin-Ile, Oba Jimoh Adesoye Adebowale Adetona I, has commended the Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his masses-oriented projects across the 16 Local Government Areas of Kwara State.
The Monarch gave the commendation recently while receiving delegates from the State Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, alongside their Federal Ministry counterparts, at his palace in Erin-Ile, Oyun Local Government Area.
Oba Adebowale particularly applauded the Governor's leadership style and lauded him for the equitable distribution of democratic dividends across the three senatorial districts of the state, praising the Governor for his continuous support for initiatives that promote community development and growth.
The Monarch assured the state government of his unalloyed support and co-operation, including that of his subjects, to ensure the successful execution of the proposed project.
Speaking earlier, the Head of the Federal Government delegation and Director of Urban Design and Development, Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Tpl. Akintola Olurotimi, informed the Monarch about the proposed 100-unit housing project of the Federal Government.
Tpl. Olurotimi explained that the project would be executed across the headquarters of the 16 Local Government Areas of the state in batches, beginning in the first quarter of next year, and added that the purpose of the visit was to formally acquaint the traditional ruler with the project and seek his royal blessings.
In his remarks, the Head of the Quantity Survey Department, Qs. Muyideen AbdulRaheem, stated that the Federal Government housing project aligns with the Kwara State Government's initiative to provide shelter for every citizen, explaining that the Smart City Project of the present administration was conceived to expand access to affordable housing and strengthen intergovernmental cooperation.
Qs. AbdulRaheem further affirmed that the visit underscored the state government's strong commitment to collaborative governance and its role in enabling federal development programmes to take root at the community level through sustained partnership with federal agencies and traditional institutions, while reaffirming the state government's determination to continue positioning Kwara State as a model of stability, coordination and progressive development.
