Asante Kotoko Boss Zito Confident of Overcoming Kwara United in CAF Confederation Cup Tie

Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has voiced strong confidence that his team will overcome Kwara United in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup, according to BSNSports.com.ng.
The Porcupine Warriors are set to return to continental competition for the first time since 2022, having earned their place through victory in last season's Ghana FA Cup.
Kotoko will host the Nigerian side in the first leg between 19 and 21 September at Baba Yara Stadium, before travelling for the decisive second leg in Nigeria from 26 to 28 September.
Zito, who previously led Dreams FC to the semifinals of the same competition two seasons ago, expressed belief in his squad's ability to navigate the challenge.
"We know Kwara United are a determined side, but we have the quality, experience, and mindset to progress," Zito said. "Our focus is clear we want to advance and make our supporters proud on the continental stage."
"Every club that qualifies for this competition is a good team. I faced Kwara United during my time with Dreams FC. They're tough opponents. But we will do everything possible to eliminate them," he told the club's media.
The Ghanaian giants are determined to make a strong statement on their return to the continental stage.
Victory over Kwara United would set up a mouth-watering second preliminary round clash against Moroccan heavyweights Wydad Casablanca.
