Date: 2025-06-24

The second contingent of 548 pilgrims from Kwara State has returned to Ilorin, the state capital, following the successful completion of the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

The group, including one participant from Ondo State and three state officials, arrived at Babatunde Idiagbon International Airport via a Max Airline flight at 7:01 p.m. on Tuesday.

Leading the delegation were three state officials from the Office of the Secretary to the State Government: Alhaja Khadijat Kuburat Abtawiy , Alhaji Abdullahi Kawu-Shuaib , and Hajia Sanni Ramat.

Their arrival brings the total number of Kwara Hajj pilgrims repatriated to 1,106 , following the first batch of 558 pilgrims reported by DAILY POST on Saturday.

The state government's orderly repatriation efforts aim to ensure pilgrims return home safely, with officials coordinating logistics and health checks to prioritise public welfare.

Meanwhile, the Max Airline aircraft that transported the pilgrims back to Nigeria departed the Tunde Idiagbon International Airport at approximately 8:52 p.m.
