Alhaji Lamidi Olarewaju Quadri, Provost of the Kwara State College of Nursing Sciences in Oke-Ode, Ifelodun Local Government Area, has called on stakeholders to rally behind the newly appointed Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Engr. Bashir Ojulari, to help him navigate the immense challenges of the oil and gas sector and fulfil his mandate to Nigerians.

Quadri made the appeal in a press statement titled “Congratulations to Oke-Ode Community,” issued to journalists in Ilorin on Monday. He emphasised that collective support is critical for Ojulari's success in steering the national oil giant amid complex industry demands.

The statement reads:on behalf of the entire Management and Students of this College, I felicitate and congratulate the entire Sons and Daughters of this ancient town, Oke-Ode, our host community, on the recent appointment of our Son, Engr. Bashir Ojulari by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

It added that,”the appointment of Engr. Ojulari as the Group Managing Director of the NNPCL, is first and foremost, a glory to Oke-Ode community because of the fame, prominence and prestige his office would attract to this town as his origin. “

“Therefore, it is very important to give him every necessary support to see him through the Herculean task in the oil and gas sector of our country. He needs our fervent prayers to deliver on mandate.”the statement stressed.

It further stated “while thanking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his repose of Trust and Confidence in our Son, let us also appreciate our amiable Governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRassq for his support towards the appointment.
