Kwara TESCOM Opens Application Portal for Teaching Positions
The Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has launched the application portal for its teaching job vacancies.
Prospective and eligible candidates can submit their applications via the following link: tescom.kwarastate.gov.ng. The TESCOM 2025 portal will become active at 12 midnight on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, and will close on February 14th, 2025.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the commission urged all applicants to carefully review the guidelines provided on the portal to ensure compliance with the application process. TESCOM has stressed the importance of adhering strictly to the rules outlined in the initial announcement.
"All applicants are advised to read the press statement initially issued on the recruitment process. The statement is on the portal for ease of reference," the statement said.
"For clarity, persons without a university degree in relevant subject areas should not apply. Holders of NCE who do not have a university degree should not apply."
The statement said that applicants who meet the first-layer recruitment criteria will be invited for a computer based test (CBT) at a centre closest to their local government of residence.
It said applicants who pass the CBT test will be invited for interviews, while successful candidates will undergo drug tests at approved NDLEA centres, among other verification exercises that would precede the issuance of employment letters.
"This process, for the record, will strongly balance between qualification, competence, employability, and availability to work in the hinterlands/rural areas where we mostly require teachers," the statement said.
