Speaking at the Ministry's headquarters in Ilorin, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Sa'adatu Modibbo Kawu, described the incident as unacceptable, emphasizing the state's reputation for peace and harmony.
Hajia Modibbo Kawu assured that the government is committed to maintaining a conducive and peaceful environment in all academic institutions, vowing that actions that undermine harmony in schools will not be tolerated.
The Anti-Loitering Team of the Ministry and the Management Team of the Kwara State Teaching Service Commission have paid an unscheduled visit to the school to investigate the alleged assault case and calm has been restored.
The Commissioner however appealed to the Management of the National Youth Service Corps and all concerned people to be patient, remain law-abiding and perform their duties without fear, as the concerned teacher has been summoned and necessary disciplinary procedures will be taken accordingly.
