According to news gathered from BSN Sports, Abia Warriors' experienced winger, Paul Sampson, has played down the significance of facing his former club, Kwara United, BSN Sports reports.

Abia Warriors are set to host Kwara United in their Matchday six encounter of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) at the Umuahia Township Stadium.

The Cross River-born winger remains optimistic about securing all three points against his former team. "There's nothing special about it. It's the same thing as any other game, but playing against my former club is something you just look forward to. It's a normal game. I simply believe we will be victorious."

"If Kwara United comes here, I am sure that we will defeat them because the winning mentality is there now. We don't have any reason to lose any game in Umuahia Township Stadium. I strongly believe we will come out victorious."
