Alumni Urged to Emulate Late AGF AbdulRazaq's Philanthropy in Educational Development
According to a news report from New Telegraph, alumni of Government High School (GHS), Ilorin, Kwara State, have been encouraged to follow the philanthropic example of the school's founder, the late Alhaji AGF AbdulRazaq (SAN), by investing in educational development.
It is noteworthy that the late AGF AbdulRazaq, father of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, established the institution, which later evolved into Government High School, Ilorin.
During the 57th Anniversary of the Old Students Association of the School, Alhaji Saadu Salahu, Senior Adviser and Counsellor to Governor AbdulRazaq, urged the alumni to emulate the late AGF AbdulRazaq's exemplary conduct. He called on the people of Kwara State, especially the affluent, to support the Governor's administration in prioritising investments in the education sector.
Salahu emphasised that investment in education and human capital development fosters societal growth.
“The investment you make in the education sector is the only guarantee that can immortalise your footprints on mankind,” Salahu said.
“I want to commend the old students for sustaining the legacy of the late AGF AbdulRazaq who deemed it fit to invest in education.
“Today, after 57 years of establishment, the school has produced an endless list of scholars, professors, justices, politicians, engineers and medical experts.
“I will also urge the old students to continue to give back to the school that laid their foundation for greatness.”
Salahu also commended Governor AbdulRazaq for his huge investment in the education sector in the last five years.
