Okada Riders Hail Kwara Governor as Responsive Leader
According to a news report from New Telegraph, commercial motorcyclists, commonly known as Okada riders in Kwara State, have praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as a responsive leader who consistently earns their respect.
Members of various organisations, including the Road Transport Workers Association of Nigeria (RTWAN), National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Okada Riders Association of Nigeria (ORAN), and Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria (MOUN), voiced their support during a solidarity rally for the APC-led government in both the central and state regions on Sunday in Ilorin.
The groups, gathered in large numbers at the Amusement Park in the capital city, expressed their backing for the administrations of Governor AbdulRazaq and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging continuous public understanding.
They were received by the acting General Manager of the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASIP), Dr Abdulwasiu Tejidini, along with other senior special assistants and officials.
Addressing the participants, the state Chairman of NURTW, Alhaji Abdulrazak Ariwoola, commended Governor AbdulRazaq for his exemplary performance, warranting the continued support of the populace.
Ariwoola, who spoke through Alhaji Abdulazeez Tinuola, appreciated the Governor for being a listening leader and how he has been responsive to the welfare of their members in the state.
He, however, declared that none of their members were ready to join any demonstration that he noted could disrupt the existing peace and harmony of the state.
Tejidini, in his response, said the public declaration by transport unions clearly shows their appreciation of the government for various impactful programmes and the leadership style of Governor AbdulRazaq.
