Former Kwara Governor's aide Suggests Spiritual Solution to Nigeria's Problems
The former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, Kayode Zubair at the weekend suggested that spiritual solution is the only panacea to the nation's myriad of problems stressing that neither economic nor political solutions would ease Nigeria out of her present dilemma.
Speaking at the annual spiritual gathering he convened at the first ECWA church in Ilorin Saturday night titled: Shabach Praise, Zubair told newsmen that: “though I am a politician, but it is now obvious that it's only spiritual efforts that have not been fully employed in tackling the nation's problems.
Kayode lamented the security problems adorning Nigeria as well as its threatening economic woes which he stated has placed the citizens in various untold hardships.
He called on all captains of other sectors to bring their expertise to the table towards revamping the country, insisting that spiritual efforts should take the lead in finding lasting solution to the country's situation.
“I am a politician yet I still feel need for spiritual approach, let other professionals too tackle the nation's problem from their own professional angle,” he added.
He said that he got the inspiration to convey the annual praise singing when he realised that Nigerians are too far away from God, “there is the need to bring them back to God,” he said.
According to him: “though fortune has been sunk into this annual event but there is no amount of money that is worth the nation's problem and the lives of its youths,” listing banditry, kidnapping, economic paralysis and other general problems as those now widely embraced by them.
He also enjoined the Nigerian youths to turn to God and imbibe all His commandments.
In his sermon, the Minister, Rev Owojaiye Moses Babatomiwa urged the congregation to prioritize peace among themselves as emphasized by Jesus Christ, describing it as the lasting solution to restful life.
