Kwara NUJ begins Press Week, honours distinguished personalities
Correspondents' Chapel of the Nigeria Union Journalists (NUJ), Kwara State council, has begun its three-day Press Week.Chairman of the programme, Abiola Azeez, told members that this year's edition would be first of its kind in the history of the chapel.
According to him, Monday, November 27, will feature health talk to be anchored by the officials of the state's Ministry of Health at the Chapel Secretariat, Ilorin by 10a.m. He added that tomorrow would feature Novelty Table Tennis Competition among correspondents at the NUJ Press Centre, GRA.
The grand finale on Wednesday, at the Shalom Hall, will see dignitaries, including the chairperson, Kwara State Inland Revenue Service (KWIRS) Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor and the outgoing Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) honoured with awards.
“This is going to bea master blaster. Journalists have never been this treated in any enviable manner until now. Whoever misses out misses great fun,” Azeez assured.
