The boy was reported to have fallen into the well on Monday evening when his leg slipped and he died before his body was recovered by men of the state fire service.
The corpse of the boy was later handed to one Mr Yusuff believed to be a family member of the deceased.
According to a statement by the head of Media and Publicity of the Kwara State Fire Service, Hassan Adekunle, made available to PUNCH Metro on Tuesday, it read, “On Monday, 6th November, 2023, a boy of about seven years old called Abdull-Haayi of Yaa-Lateef House, Tinu Street Akerebiata area Ilorin, Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State, fell into a domestic well and was recovered dead.
