UBEC Model Smart School takes off in Kwara as state announces free admission forms
Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB) has announced that the collection of application forms for admission into UBEC Model Smart School Adeta, IIorin Kwara State, commenced today Wednesday 26th of April, 2023.
Collection and submission of completed application form is free.
Collection and submission can be done between 9.00am and 1pm daily at the school premises UBEC Model SMART School Adeta, Behind Government High School Adeta Ilorin, till Tuesday, second of May, 2023, according to the statement issued by the Board chairman Prof Raheem Shehu Adaramaja.
It explained that the requirements for collection of application forms are: Immunization Certificate; Birth Certificate; Candidate's last term Result; and two copies of candidate's recent passport photographs.
"Entrance exams will come up on Wednesday, third of May, 2023 at the school premises, starting at 9am and candidates are expected to come with their writing materials only"
The statement insisted that no parents will be allowed into the examination hall during the exercise.
"The current third term admission exercise is opened for pupils in pre-primary 2, primary 1, 2,and 3. The Junior Secondary School section of the Smart Model School will admit students for JSS 1 only," it said.
The statement added that subsequent admission exercise will come up in September, 2023 for 2023/2024 academic session.
It would be recalled Universal Basic Education Board had in 2021 approved the location of one of its smart schools in Kwara State following Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's investments in basic education.
Designed to offer 21st century education, the 'smart school' comprises of comprehensive IT-enabled basic classes that would accommodate preschoolers, primary classes and junior secondary school classes, fitted with accessories like e-libraries, clinic and laboratories that make a complete school in the internet age.
