BAL 2023: US Monastir Will Be Our Toughest Opponent Not Kwara Falcons- REG Boss

Date: 2023-03-07

Ahead of the 2023 African Basketball League, the manager of the Rwanda side REG Dean Murray has picked out the Tunisia side US Monastir as their toughest opponent not Kwara Falcons of Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The Tunisia side is currently the tournament defending champions and the Nigerian side Kwara Falcons is just making their debut in the championship.

During an interview on Monday, Murray emphasised Monastir still the bulk of their players that won the League last year.

"Well, obviously the defending champions Monastir. So that's going to be a challenge against them an experienced and championship team.

There are two or three teams that haven't played in the BAL, so that's a little bit of an unknown; you wonder whether they have the experience to compete in the BAL but, at the same time, you don't know much about them.

I am sure all the teams would be good opponents", he said.
