NANS Senate clerk, Baki, eulogises govt over striking development in Kwara Poly
The Senate clerk of National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Comrade Saad Olatunji Baki has eulogised the Kwara State Government over the giant infrastructural development currently ongoing in Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
Baki is a student of Kwara State Polytechnic, Estate Management department. He was recently elected as the senate clerk of National Association of Nigerian Students at the just concluded NANS convention.
The Informant247 had reported that no student of Kwara State Polytechnic has won any contested post at the National Association Of Nigeria Students' for fifteen years, until “Baki breaks the old record.“
The Senate clerk of NANS, during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Tertiary Education, Dr. Afeez Abolore Alabi in office, appreciated the Kwara State Government for prioritizing the welfare of the students by ensuring that the school hostels were completely overhauled and remodeled.
He thanked the Commissioner for his immense contributions toward the development of state institutions “especially in Kwara Polytechnic where lecture rooms are being constructed and renovated.”
While addressing the students' leadership in his office, the Commissioner of Tertiary Education, Dr. Afeez Abolore Alabi, promised to work in synergy with them in making sure that the total population of the students in the state are well treated.
According to the Commissioner, the state government is working assiduously to ensure that the school hostel is affordable for the students, adding that the price for room allocation has been subsidized and reduced for the comfort of the students.
Alabi assured the students' leadership that the award of scholarships and payment of bursary to indigenous students will be announced soon and disbursed accordingly.
