Works Commissioner Engr Rotimi inspects Ongoing Ganmo-CAN Secretariat–Micheal Imodu Road Construction

The Honourable Commissioner for Works and Transport, Hon. Rotimi Suleiman Iliasu, today paid an unscheduled visit to the ongoing road construction of the Phase 1 Project of Gamon through Borstal Training Centre, CAN office, Nigerian Television Authority NTA to Micheal Imodu Road to ensure that quality job is done in line with specifications.

It is significant to note that the impromptu visit of the Honourable Commissioner is line with the tradition of Governor AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq who constantly follows up governmental projects to ensure that standard is adhered to for the benefits of all.

With a strong desire to make sure the road is well constructed, Engr Suleiman confirmed the road length and encouraged the contractor to keep up the good work as "No Shoddy Job" will be accepted by the state.

He nevertheless thanked the residents and road users for their patience throughout the duration of the construction.

He also sought their support in the fight against dumping of refuse in the waterways as one of the steps to protect public infrastructures within the community.

He promised that the first phase of the road construction will be completed in September and that more government projects are coming soonest. SAM BOLA ONILE
