Date: 2021-08-28

The reality of kidnapping is closing on Kwara communities. From the incident at Ekiti Kwara, the kidnap that happened at Oke Onigbin which led to the death of one of the victims, now today Kwasu reported the kidnap of a studen.

Of course the Ballah-Eiyekorin axis is becoming a dreadful corridor of kidnapping. Not forgetting Okolowo as rising corner of kidanpping activities.

What is the state government doing? We need to mobilise the community leaders, equip the citizens with security and safety skills necessary to prevent kidnapping. We can no more relish in the illusion of a being in a safety haven.

We must step up our game against kidnapping.
