Officials of Kwara United of Ilorin, have stated that they did not force new coach, Samson Unuanel to resign from his post as the assistant coach of the Super Falcons, as a condition to secure the coaching job of the Afonja Warriors.

Unuanel, resigned as an assistant coach of the Nigeria senior women national team last week, barely few days after his appointment as the Technical Adviser of the team and there has been suggestions that the former Akwa United coache, was forced to take the decision by his new employers.

However, club spokesman Olayioye Ajide said that the club never gave the coach any condition, stating that he took the decision, probably to concentrate wholly on his new challenge.

''There was no point in time that he was given any condition to work with us. He stated in his CV that he is also an assistant coach to the Falcons and we never bothered on that.

''What he was told was that, he needed to deliver the goals that the club has set for him and I think that was the reason he resigned.

''His resignation from the Falcons might be to allow him be committed to the new job because keeping the Falcons' job might be a distraction to him."
