The final of the maiden edition of All-Kwara Secondary Schools Soccer competition, otherwise known as Governor's Cup has been scheduled for Thursday (tomorrow) at the Main-Bowl of the Kwara State stadium complex, beginning from 3.00pm.

A message from the Office of the Special Assistant on Sports, Alhaji Sulaiman Toyin Olokoba said that Cherubim and Seraphim College, Ilorin will take on Government Secondary School, Omu-Aran in the final, while the third place match between Government Secondary School, Kukuji and Government Secondary School, Lafiagi will come up at the same venue by 12.00noon.

Kwara Governor, Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed is expected to grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour. Others expected to be at the final tomorrow are the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Barrister Anthony Kayode Towoju, while the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Alhaji Saka Onimago will be the Chief Host. The Special Assistant of Sports, Alhaji Toyin Olokoba will be the Host.

The competition was competed by about 368 secondary schools, both public and private, in the state, and the competition is being bankrolled by the Kwara State government, as a youth and grassroots development programme.
