Re: Kudos to Kwara Governor's Son

Date: 2020-09-22

The attention of the Kwara State Government has been drawn to some news articles in which the son of the Governor, Farouk AbdulRazaq, was credited with owning a Foundation or expressing some political views.

The entire stories are fake and should be disregarded. Farouk neither has any Foundation nor is he involved in any sociopolitical activities to warrant him expressing any views in the media. He is a private citizen.

The First Family suspects foul play from some quarters who may want to use the son of the Governor to drive some surreptitious political narrative.

We urge the media to please always check their reports concerning the state government or the First Family with official spokespeople of the administration/Governor to avoid being misled into using fake news.

Rafiu Ajakaye

Chief Press Secretary to the Governor
