Former Kwara United coach Tunde Sanni said he was surprised that he was not reappointed as the coach of the team declaring that the club does not know his value.

The Afonja Warriors on Monday announced the appointment of Samson Unuanel as their coach but Sanni, who guided the team to sixth place finish last season said the club disappointed him by not reappointing him.

- I was surprised with their decision because I believe that the club should have reaped from the investment they made on me. I'm very grateful to them for sponsoring me to become a coach but I think by ignoring me, they seems not to know the value of what they have, because I am a product of the club and I won't shy away from it.

- I felt more disappointed by the fact that the person that was even chosen does not have the experience, qualification and even the passion that I have for the club, but I have to move on.

Sanni spent almost a decade in the club and he captained them for some years before quitting the game at the club.
