Team Oyo Arrives Ilorin for 5th National Youth Games

One hundred and eleven athletes from Oyo state have arrived Ilorin, Kwara State, for the 5th National Youth Games holding at the University of Ilorin.

The Oyo State Contingent led by the General Manager of Oyo State Sports Council, Mr. Gboyega Makinde, consists of sixty-nine males and forty-two female athletes.

According to a statement by the Media Officer of the Oyo State Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mrs. Olubukola Ibikunle, the state's representatives will compete for medals in twenty-five games at the event.

Also, sixty-five state officials, including security agents were part of the state's contingent to the National Youth Games, which will end next week Tuesday.

Oyo State clinched the 8th position at the 4th National Youth Games held last year at the University of Ilorin, Kwara state.
