Kwara United go top of Nigeria Premier League after victory over Akwa United
In the absence of Dolphins, who were playing a Caf Champions League game, Kwara United became the new leaders of the Nigeria Premier League on Sunday after they defeated Akwa United 2-1 in Ilorin.
The Ilorin side now has 18 points from nine matches. Yusuf Jaiyeola and Anthony Okemiri scored for Kwara United, while Haruna Babalo reduced the tally for Akwa United.
