Date: 2018-04-30

Christians in Ilorin on Sunday joined other believers across Nigeria to protest incessant killings in Benue and other Norther part of the country which were being perpetrated by herdsmen on their host communities.

The Christians in Ilorin took to street in front of their church premises and later came together along Ajase-Ipo road carry placards with inscription "Enough of bloodshed in Nigeria", "Blood is life not water. STop shedding of blood", "stop blood shed" amongts others.

The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Olasupo Ayokunle, had issued order to churches "to carry placards with inscriptions meant to address issues about killings, attacks and destruction of their property in Nigeria," and "for poor handling of security" in the country.
