VOTE OF THANKS DELIVERED BY HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS THE EMIR OF ILORIN AND CHAIRMAN KWARA STATE COUNCIL OF CHIEFS, ALHAJI (DR.) IBRAHIM SULU-GAMBARI CFR, ON THE OCCASION OF PUBLIC PRESENTATION AND LAUNCHING CEREMONY OF TWO BOOKS, HELD AT THE CONVOCATION SQUARE, WAZIRI UMARU FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC,BIRNIN KEBBI, ON SATURDAY, 28th APRIL, 2018

On behalf of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Gwandu, Gwandu Emirate Council and the organizers of this momentous occasion, it is our honour to express our profound appreciation to all the distinguished personalities who honored our invitation to this historic event. We also wish to appreciate other who for one reason or the other could not make it to this could not make it to this momentous event but have sent their representative or messages of good will.

To the esteemed Special Guest of Honour, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, Chairman of the Occasion, Senate President, His Excellency, Dr Bukola Saraki, the Chief Host and Executive Governor of Kebbi State, His Excellency, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the Royal Father of the Day, His Eminence the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, III and our generous Chief Launcher, His Excellency, Jagaba Senator Ahmed Tinubu, we are most grateful. May Allah (SWT) reward you abundantly.

We wish to also thank all the State Governors, Honorable Ministers, Distinguished and Honorable members of the National and States Assemblies, members of the State Executive Council, Emirs and Chiefs including our brothers form Niger Republic. We equally thank all serving and retired public officers, captains of industries and political leaders who joined us in the celebration of this joyous moment.

You will no doubt agree with us that an occasion like this one that brings people from various walks of life irrespective of mutual differences, is a good tonic in renewing our bond of relationship and will further go a long way in our collective effort towards nation building, national unity and promotion of African brotherhood.

Furthermore, we would like to commend the organizers of this occasion for a job well done. We wish to also thank His Royal Highness, the Emir of Gwandu, for the periodic opportunities given to us to renew our unbreakable bond with our root and ancestral home.

Finally, we wish to once more thank all the personalities who honored our invitation to this grand event. We wish you all journey mercies to your respective destinations.
