The National President of Offa Descendants Union (ODU) Alhaji Najeem Usman Yazin has commended the kwara State Government under the leadership of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and security operatives in the state for their timely intervention in the clash between Offa and Ijagbo communities.

Reacting to the incident that happened yesterday among the two communities, Alhaji Yasin described the incident as most unfortunate and uncalled for and stressed the need for the matter to be immediately nipped in the bud.

The ODU president who is also the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers ( NURTW) expressed joy that the incident did not escalate or degenerate to involving causalities from both sides but however, sympathized with all those that lost their belongings or sustained injuries as a result of the clash.

Alhaji Yasin described the people of Offa and Ijagbo as one and members of the same family who have an history of very long cordial relationship and stressed the need for such harmonious relationship to continue and be sustained.

He appealed to parents and guardians to caution their children and wards not to retaliate or take laws into their hands but rather allow the government and the law enforcement agents to find lasting solution to the matter.
