Intending pilgrims cautioned against paying hajj fare to fraudsters

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board , Ilorin has cautioned intending pilgrims to this years pilgrimage from the state not to pay cash to anybody as hajj fare or deal with any person outside the officials of the board before, during and after the hajj exercise.

The board warned that it has not appointed any agent to collect fare from any intending pilgrim on behalf of the board.

The Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Tunde Jimoh gave the warning in Ilorin , the state capital while responding to questions during a Radio Kwara personality interview programme , Playing Host.

Alhaji Jimoh said all payment for the hajj fare should be made directly to a dedicated bank account while a website has been opened for other hajj operations and warned intending pilgrims against falling into the hands of fraudsters .

He appealed to all those that are confused or not too clear about the mode of payment or filling of the hajj forms to report at the pilgrims board office for further clarification.

The Executive Secretary enjoined the pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state and the nation at large at the holy land and guide against involving in any criminality or nefarious activities that are contrary to the laws of the Saudi Authorities.
