A condolence message issued by the Speaker's Special Assistant on Media, Shuaib Abdulkadir described the lawmaker's death as a great loss to the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Ahmad described the late lawmaker as very experienced being a two time member and recognised to have contributed immensely to the development of the state.

As the Lagos State Assembly Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ahmad noted that the lawmaker was able to discharge his legislative duties effectively and efficiently.

He, however, said without doubt, late Hon. Alimi would be sorely missed by his colleagues, his Eti-Osa Constituency and entire Lagos state.

While commiserating with the late legislator's family, supporters, friends and sympathisers, Ahmad prayed Allah to provide them the fortitude to bear the loss and grant the deceased Al-jana Firdaus.

Charging the late lawmaker's family to sustain his legacies, the speaker charged the Lagos State Government to find a way of immortalising him so that he would always be remembered for his selfless services rendered.
