Moro Community Reiterates Support for Emir of Ilorin

Members of Lanwa community in the Moro Local Government area of Kwara State on Thursday reiterated their total support and loyalty to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, in solidarity to the alleged rancor going in the locality.

The team was led by the Alangua of Lanwa, Alhaji Saliu Atanda, to the Ilorin Emir's palace, condemned any act of break-up of the Ilorin Emirate by any group or individual as unwarranted and frivolous to the wellbeing of the good people of the area.

He also told the Emir descendants of Lanwa community are bonafide indigenes of the Ilorin Emirate representing the interest of the Emir of Ilorin in Moro Local Government adding that the community will continue to be loyal and adhere to the dictates of the constituted authority under the leadership of Emir of Ilorin.

The community however prayed for long life and prosperity for the Emir and urged him to remain calm and continue to have confidence in the entire members of Lanwa community towards ensuring the sustenance of a prosperous Emirate system in Ilorin and beyond.

Also speaking, the Youth Leader of Lanwa community, Mallam Mahmud Abdulfatai, pledged the unflinching support of the entire youths of the community to the Emir of Ilorin and advised other communities in Moro Local government area to emulate Lanwa community in order to allow peace and harmony to reign in the state.

In his remarks, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, thanked the team for their visit and assured them that he will continue to discharge his duties has father for all across communities in the Ilorin emirate and across the state at large.

He therefore advised them to vigilant and watchful of intruders amongst them so as to record absolutism in their pledges and actions.
