Cherubim and Seraphim leader urges FG to create jobs for unemployed graduates

Date: 2017-04-24

The Fifth Head and Chairman , Cherubim and Seraphim Church World Wide, Most Reverend Samuel Adefila Abidoye has appealed to the Federal Government to look inwards and provide the unemployed youths in the country particularly the graduates employment . According to the clergy, such job opportunities if provided, would drastically reduce the present high rate of crime and criminality in the society.

Most Reverend Abidoye made the plea in Ilorin , the KWARA State capital while answering questions on a Radio KWARA personality interview programme , Playing Host. He suggested that the Federal government should inject all the recovered looted funds and those recovered from various buildings and shops into the economy and also use it to create jobs for the jobless youths. The Head of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church lamented that despite the fact that most Nigerians are living and dying of hunger and abject poverty , some people still do not have the fear of God by embarking on massive embezzlement of public funds for their personal use rather than being their brothers keeper as preached by the two Holy books.

The clergy who has clocked ten years as head of the C and S church movement world wide kicked against the idea where pastors or Christians in general run after riches stressing that with the present situation, it is difficult to even differentiate between a politician and a preacher.

Most Reverend Abidoye who is also known as Baba Aladura condemned the commercialization of religion and implored pastors to preach salvation rather than preaching for prosperity warning that judgement will start from the churches which is the house of God.

He commended the efforts of the Muhammadu Buhari's administration in the fight against corruption and implored Nigerians to allow the change mantra policy and the war against terrorism to succeed by fully supporting the government and praying fervently for the nation so that peace and economic revival would be achieved.

The Baba Aladura appealed to the government and the security operatives to intensify more efforts in checking the excesses of the Boko Haram sects, the crisis in the Niger Delta Region and the massive killings by suspected herdsmen across the country while the search for the missing Chibuk School girls should be intensified.

Most Reverend Abidoye who was born in 1922 and an indigene of Omu Aran in KWARA state disclosed that the church presently has eighty two branches across the world while part of his greatest joy was bringing the youths who are the future of the world well grounded into the congregation and for God to have used him to start galilee between Ogbomosho in Oyo State and Ilorin in KWARA State.

He called for prayers for Nigerian leaders so that peace will continue to reign supreme in the country and the present recession the nation is presently facing would be a thing of the past.
