Kwara SWAN challenges State Govt on impactful participation at NYG
The State Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Bibire, made this known in a statement on Monday in Ilorin.
Bibire called on the state government to ensure it provide an enabling environment for the sports council and the ministry to ensure the state makes a big statement at the games billed for the sports facilities of the University of Ilorin.
The association chairman explained that the state has the talent and human resources to emerge champions at the end of the games if the right steps are taken.
Bibire added that recent victories for the state at the North Central U-17 girls handball Championship and the 12 Cargolux National U-19 boys Squash championship are testimonies that talents abound in the state.
The Kwara SWAN chairman assured the state government its full support at all times in making the public aware of the state triumphs in sports.
The National Youth Games is to hosted by University of Ilorin beginning from Sept. 22 to Sept. 30, tentatively.
