Nasarawa United's Coach Dogo has described their Match Day 12 Nigeria Professional Football League fixture against Plateau United as the most difficult the team has played so far this season.

The Solid Miners defeated Plateau United 2-1 with Seun Sogbeso and Esosa Igbinoba to lift them out of the relegation zone.

"There is no match that is easy in the Nigerian league again. This game was difficult because Nasarawa United and Plateau United have the same father and mother. They are almost in the same state, playing in such game is always difficult,""the coach said.

"We had our chances in the first half and we should have killed off the game but we didn't do that. In the second half they played well. "It has not been easy. They (Plateau United) had one week to prepare (for this game), while we had only three days. ""What matters is the victory and we thank God that we were able to get the three points," Dogo was quoted as saying on npfl.ng. The win over Plateau United has seen Nasarawa United move out of the bottom-four on the log.

In other matches decided at the weekend, Shooting Stars played host to Heartland whom they beat 2-1. Sunshine stars beat El Kanemi Warriors 3-0. Rivers United edged out Kano Pillars 1-0, while Ifeanyi Ubah and Lobi stars saw off Warri Wolves and Akwa United with the same scoreline. Ikorodu United's losing run continued as they were beaten 2-0 by Niger Tornadoes.
