Unemployment: Kwara South Forum tasks youths on entrepreneurship

A socio-cultural organization, Kwara South Consultative Forum, has called on unemployed graduates to focus on entrepreneurship as a way of fighting unemployment.

To this end, the forum disclosed that it would soon organise a summit for the unemployed graduates to reduce their dependency on government jobs.

The Public Relations Officer of the forum, Barrister Segun Olawoyin, in a statement issued in Ilorin on Sunday, said unemployment topped its discussion with the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, when the executive members of the forum visited him recently.

The forum, which advocated improved economy in the country, expressed optimism in the ability of the governor to deliver on his electioneering promises.

Meanwhile, the forum had elected new executive members to pilot affairs its affairs. The new officers are; Chief J. A. Aderibigbe- President, Chief D. Adeseko, Vice-President, Otunba A.S. Daramola, National Secretary, Chief David Aderinola, Asst. National Sec; Elder J.F Abolarinwa, Treasurer; Chief M.O. Ogundele, Financial Secretary and Barrister Segun Olawoyin, Public Relations Officer.

Others are; Kolawole Owolabi, Social Secretary; Oladipo Rotimi, Auditor; Chief O. Ashaolu, SAN, Legal Adviser; while Alhaji B.A. Olumoh, Alhaji Adebayo Adisa, Dr. Buraimoh Sanni and Elder Ayo Oluleye were elected ex-officio members respectively.
