Eminent Nigerians including Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, the National President of the Nigerian Labour Congress(NLC), Ayuba Wabba, on Thursday stormed Ilorin, the Kwara State capital to pay their last respects to Hamdalat, the late wife of unionist, Issa Aremu, who died yesterday.

The Imam Imale of Ilorin, AbdulHamid Abdullahi who led the Janazah prayer later offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased.

Imam Imale reminded Muslims of the need to refrain from bad behaviour. Also speaking, the NLC President, Ayuba Wabba said Hajia Hamdalat Aremu's demise? was a great loss to all NLC members.

He added that the deceased was a great source of support and inspiration to them and her husband.

Meanwhile, Fidau for the deceased will hold on Saturday at her husband's residence in Ilorin, at 9:00am.

Late Hajia Hamudalat Aremu died yesterday at the age of 51.

Other dignitaries at her burial were the Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Dr. Ali Ahmad, Secretary to Kwara state government, Isiaka Gold, former NLC president, Hassan Sunmonu, media guru, Ishaq Modibbo Kawu, former General Manager, Kwara Television Service, Alhaji Nurudeen AbdulRaheem.

Also in attendance at the prayer are the Mr. Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), incumbent NLC chairman in the state, Yekini Agunbiade, two former chairmen of the union, and the state NUJ chairman, Abiodun Abdulkaareem.
