I was never invited by EFCC - UNILORIN VC
Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Abdulganiyu Ambali, has described as rumour the allegation that he was invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions, EFCC, over alleged mismanagement of funds. The VC stated this in Makurdi the Benue State capital yesterday while speaking with journalists in Ilorin the Kwara State capital, stressing that he did not even know the way to their office.
He noted that he received the information with rude shock, adding that his administration has never derailed in the established guidelines for quality and robust academic excellence, stressing that the allegation should be regarded as mere frivolous and unfounded rumour.
Professor Ambali also refuted claims that there was hike in the tuition fees of the university maintaining that the approved fee of N45,000 for universities across the country by the federal government was still in vogue at the university of Ilorin.
He therefore charged the entire staff of the university to remain committed and resolute to the yearning of making the University a world class institution for quality academic and research programmes even as he appealed to students to always uphold obedience and loyalty to the constituted authorities.
