Kwara South Group drums support for Gov Ahmed, Kwara APC
A call has been made to support the leadership of Governor Ahmed for second term in office.
The call was made by the Association of Kwara South Indigenes Nationwide during a joint celebration event for Eid Kabir held in Isin Local Government of Kwara state.
The event which was attended by Kwara South Local Government chairmen from the seven local government areas in the district, party chairmen, youth and women leaders among other dignitaries marked a clear declaration of support for Governor Ahmed's second term agenda.
The group consisting of Kwara South Indigenes in Abuja, Lagos, Oyo, and Port-Harcourt among others commended Senator Bukola Saraki for endorsing Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for second term, a gesture they described as thoughtful and well deserved as it will give room for sustainability of development across the state.
While speaking for the group, Alhaji Abdufatah Aare Musulumi of Oke Onigbin popularly called Divine Candidate FOJ said that Governor Ahmed remained the best man for Kwara at this time when the state was undergoing several developments in various areas.
"I strongly commend Senator Bukola Saraki for endorsing Governor Ahmed for second term; a laudable gesture from the distinguished senator based on the various giant strides by the governor in sustaining development in Kwara" he said.
"On behalf of the group, I urge Kwarans at home and abroad to support Governor Ahmed for the second term bid through their votes in order to ensure continuity of good works in the state" he added.
Speaking further, he urged all Public Office holders in Kwara South to shine through performances and not posters, radio or television jingles. He urged them to intensify development in the areas of infrastructural development, fight against youth unemployment and security among others.
