ABS v Akwa: Dogo confident of victory

Date: 2012-05-12

Still basking in the euphoria of  their 1-0 victory in the Ilorin derby,  ABS FC coach, Sulueman Dogo is optimistic that his side will pound Akwa United in today's Week 26 encounter.

Speaking to Inside Out Premier League from Abuja after the team's victory, the stopgap coach said his wards have been able to come out of  their mess after losing 3-1 to Sharks of Port Harcourt in the Week 20 rescheduled tie at home.

"I am happy with the result,  it shows that the boys have been able to put the defeats of Sharks and the State FA Cup to Kwara United behind them to pick three points. We all at the club are happy with the result as we look ahead to crushing Akwa United on Saturday in other for us to climb up the league ladder," Dogo said.

Meanwhile, captain of Akwa United, Otobong Effiong believes that ABS wings can be clipped and his army are ready to do so this weekend.

"We both won our games at home despite the rivalry. We are traveling to Ilorin with one thing on our mind and that is victory and nothing else. They are beatable just as Sharks did to them, so we want to do the same," Effiong said.
