Kwara youths vow to fight for state liberation
The Kwara youth under the aegis of Kwara Youth Stakeholders Forum (KYSF) has promised to fight for the liberation of the state to rescue it from abject poverty and dominance by few individuals.
They also pledged their loyalty and support for the newly appointed Minister of National Planning Dr. Abubakar Sulaiman.
The group made the vow during the Kwara Youth Summit 2014 at the weekend in Ilorin with the theme "Galvanising the energy and wisdom of Kwara youth towards a better future for Kwara and Kwarans."
According to the president of the group, Com. Charles O. Folayan, the summit was aimed at creating strong ties among the youth of the various local governments.
He reiterated that the appointment of the Sulaiman has given hope to common kwarans, describing his appointment as a victory for the struggle for political freedom of the people from a dynasty that has kept the state undeveloped and a large percentage of the people in abject poverty.
