A Kwara State indigene and victim of the Nyanya bomb blast, Mallam Said Ayinde has commended the State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed for visiting him at the Asokoro Hospital in Abuja where he is recuperating.

Mallam Ayinde, who is from Salla in Lanwa District of Moro Local Government Area of the State, said he was elated that the governor identified with him in his period of distress.

He described the visit of Governor Ahmed as a show of empathy because he had never had any contact with the governor before.

Mallam Ayinde expressed gratitude to the state governor for the financial assistance rendered to him.

Speaking earlier, Governor Ahmed who wished Mallam Ayinde and other victims of the Nyanya Bomb Blast quick recovery, added that the visit was in line with his administration’s value for the sanctity of human life, whether within or outside the state.

The governor who described the Nyanya bomb blast as one too many noted that the incident was grieving as those who lost their lives or were injured were in difficult quest for livelihood, according to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abdulwahab Oba.
