Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Kwara State Chapter has elected new executives to run its affairs for the next three years.

The election, which took place at the association's office in ‘Budo Jesus, Budo Effo in Ganmo, Ifelodun Local Government area of Kwara State was conducted by the  representative of the CAN National President, Reverend  Kayode Ajiboye.

At the well attended quarterly meeting of the association, Evangelist Professor Timothy Oloyede Opoola emerged the new Chairman with Reverend Father Anthony Dayo Atoyebi  as  the Vice Chairman.

Other officers elected during the election were Mr. Jacob Adebayo Babawale as the Assistance Secretary while Elder Julius Adebola Fadumo was elected the treasurer.

In his valedictory speech, the out gone chairman, Reverend Doctor James Folaranmi who expressed profound gratitude and deep appreciation to the five Blocks of CAN in the state for their cooperation, support, loyalty and assistance to his executives, urged them to extend same to the new executives to enable them perform well while also appealing to them to always fulfill their financial obligations to the association.

Reverend Doctor Folaranmi however appealed to the executive to be courageous, stead fast and live above board so as to justify the confidence reposed in them.

In his acceptance speech immediately after his election Evangelist Professor Timothy Oloyede Opoola thanked members for the honour done to him and other executive members and pledged not to let them. down. He however, called for support; loyalty and cooperation of all the blocks of CAN in the state to his administration to enable him succeed.

Evangelist professor Opoola pleqge to run an open door policy to carry all the State Holders along, adding that he would be honest transparent and fair in his admmistration.

He therefore, commended the out gone executive for there numerous achievements and promiSed that his executive would consolidate on the achievements.
