LG poll: KWASIEC to recruit 3000 ad-hoc staff
The Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWASIEC) is to recruit 3,000 ad-hoc staff for the forthcoming local government elections in Kwara State.
The Chairman of the commission, Dr. Uthman Abdulrahman Ajidagba disclosed this yesterday while speaking at the training exercise organized for the facilitators that will in turn train the ad-hoc staff.
Two hundred facilitators were trained in the exercise, which took place at Government Secondary School (GSS), Ilorin.
Dr. Ajidagba who spoke through Barrister Abdulrahuf Ajao Amode, said the ad-hoc staff would be deployed to various local governments.
He urged the facilitators to do justice to mandate given to them by giving adequate training to local government officers.
He said the training exercise was part of the preparations for the October 26 poll.
Dr. Ajidagba restated the KWASIEC’s commitment to conduct free, fair and acceptable elections.
