Kwara colloquim

Date: 2014-08-23

The convener of the first Kwara colloquim, Tajudeen Abdulkareem, has identified good leadership, vision, infrastructural and social developments, among others, as the foundation of the success of the state.

Held in Ilorin, Kwara State during the week, it was the first to be organised by The Leaders Institute in collaboration with Team Kwara, with the theme “The Need for Progressive Leadership in Kwara State.”

The event attracted majority of stakeholders in the state as well as the general public including the labour, civil society groups, the clergy, the academia and prominent politicians.

The forum featured a free and frank exchange of views, ideas and opinions. Participants applauded the erudite presentation of papers and the unanimity of ideas on the type of leadership that the state deserves come 2015.

Noting that Kwara has reached a defining moment, Abdulkareem acknowledged that the people were in the middle of three wars – war against poverty; corruption and domination; oppression and slavery which must be fought and won.
