Press Release - Re: Defection of PDP Members to APC in 'Ajanaku' Ward.
We declare without equivocation that the alleged defection is only an illusion of the leadership of the APC in Kwara State. This is there is no such ward in Ilorin South Local Government or anywhere else in Kwara State for that matter, called 'Ajanaku Ward'. Even a day old knows this much!
As far as we know, there are only eleven wards in Ilorin South LGA where the APC falsely alleged that our members defected from. Out of this eleven, none bears the illusionary 'Ajanaku Ward' that the APC claimed.
To therefore claim that a purported defection ceremony held in the APC fantasy land called 'Ajanaku Ward' in Ilorin South LGA, only goes to expose the pack of lie that the APC has been dishing to the public over the last few days.
Instead, it is the PDP that has been receiving hordes of APC registered members into its fold. A case in point was the widely reported defection of over 2000 APC members to the PDP in Ilorin West LGA on Sunday, 15th June, 2014! Since then, our party has been receiving members of the APC from across the state, who have obviously seen through the lies of the APC as a party and its government in Kwara State.
Just yesterday, In Ojuekun-Saramu ward of Ilorin West LGA, over 500 members of the APC renounced membership of their former party and identified with the PDP in a modest ceremony, which saw the open burning of the membership cards and flags of the APC. The PDP decided not to hype this event, first, because we do not believe in unnecessary propaganda but more importantly, to avoid the ugly event of Monday 16th June, 2014, where suspected APC thugs unleashed unimaginable mayhem on defenseless people, whose only 'offence' was their decision to dump the party for the PDP.
We therefore the public to discard this latest information and see it as yet another fabrication of falsehood by a party that has a legendary reputation for peddling lies!
