Kwara FA Bans 2 Fans from Ilorin Stadium

Date: 2013-04-27

The Kwara Football Association (KFA) has suspended indefinitely two football fans, Akaje Kazim and Omo Alhaji, from entering the Kwara Stadium.

This was part of resolutions  reached at the end of a stakeholders meeting held on Friday in Ilorin.

The two were suspended for allegedly beating Anietie Udoh, a FIFA-graded referee, at the stadium during one of the ongoing Federation Cup preliminary matches.

The Chairman of  KFA, Malam Busari Ishola,  said that the stakeholders took the decision to instil  sanity in the game.

He also warned spectators to  desist from stepping on the stadium’s tracks during matches.

"The case concerning the two suspended fans will be handed over to the police for necessary action and prosecution," he added.
