ABS Designs Players' Future
Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, ABS have entered into a partnership with Freestyle Sports to organise a 2-day seminar for their players.
The theme and concept of the seminar is aimed on how players of the Nigeria top flight football would plan and reshape their career after football.
ABS manager, Alloy Chukwuemeka, who disclosed to supersport.com the development stressed that the event would bring more innovation and dynamism to the game of football.
“We have signed a one-year deal with OWU sports kit manufacturers and now we are also entering into another partnership with Freestyle Sport to enlighten our players on how to plan their present for better future.
“Our duty is not just to play football alone, and I think this is what is needed for the development of the league,” Chukwuemeka told supersport.com.
The Director of Freestyle Sports, Shogo Shodunnke however, commended the management of ABS for their quest for innovation and passion for partnership.
“Most Nigerian players have gone to oblivion because they failed to plan their career with what they got from football, and it is time for the present league players not to fall victims as they would never play football for the rest of their lives,” Shodunnke told supersport.com.
The seminar will hold on May 2 at the Kwara Football Academy pitch, while the lecture will take place on May 4, at the club's secretariat inside the Kwara State Stadium.
Hearing the latest development, ABS' winger, Abdullahi Ibrahim Idiamin comfirmed his teammates' readiness for the much heralded seminar.
“We have been told of the seminar, and we can't wait for the day to come as we are ready to be taught on how we would plan our career,” Idiamin said to supersport.com.
