Kwara United Captain and goalkeeper, Suraj Ayeleso, has admitted that Bendel Insurance deserved their 2-1 victory over the Harmony Boys during their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 11 fixture at the Rashidi Yekini Mainbowl in Ilorin.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Ayeleso expressed disappointment over the outcome, noting that the team failed to capitalize on their recent away performance in Kano by dropping critical points at home.

The veteran goalkeeper credited the Benin-based outfit, popularly referred to as the Benin Arsenals, for their tactical execution, acknowledging that the visitors demonstrated superior game management and outplayed the host team.

"It's quite unfortunate that we travel to Kano to pick up points and couldn't work on it. I would give credit to Bendel Insurance, as they really outplayed us. They showed maturity after the game," Ayeleso stated.

The home loss marked a major setback for Kwara United, who failed to convert their territorial advantage into a favorable result against a resolute Bendel Insurance side.

Despite the loss, the Kwara United skipper assured fans and stakeholders that the squad would resume tactical preparations to correct the defensive and positional errors exposed during the match.

"We will work on the lapses in training," he added.
