APC Stalwart Stephen Awoyale Declares for Kwara Assembly Seat
Stephen Awoyale, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared his intention to contest the Isin Constituency seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly.
Awoyale made the declaration during an APC ward meeting held in Ijara-Isin, Isin Local Government Area of the state. He expressed optimism about the future of the constituency and solicited the support of party members and key stakeholders.
He appealed for the backing of the people, noting that no political ambition can be realised without collective support. He added that he has remained a committed member of the party and has contributed to several developmental initiatives alongside other stakeholders.
Awoyale commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his achievements, stating that he would complement the administration's efforts at the constituency level if elected.
He further noted that Ijara-Isin and the entire Isin Local Government Area require accelerated development, stressing that the area possesses significant potential for growth.
The aspirant also advocated the establishment of higher institutions in the area, expressing confidence that such development could be achieved with the support of relevant stakeholders.
Describing himself as a person of integrity and capacity, Awoyale expressed confidence in securing the party's ticket and winning the general election through collective effort.
Earlier, John Adewoye, the APC Assistant Secretary in the local government, urged party members to remain united and work towards ensuring that Ijara-Isin produces the party's candidate for the benefit of the community.
Similarly, Sunday Oladimeji, the Councillor representing Ijara-Isin Ward, said Awoyale has made notable contributions to the community, particularly through various empowerment and community support initiatives.
Another party member, Bolujoko Ifeoluwa, said it was time for Ijara-Isin to produce the candidate for the assembly seat, adding that the collective goal is to ensure the development of Isin Local Government Area.
